I have always seen A-flat as the key death, or all thing related to distancing, separation, isolation, but also self-reliance and inner-strength. I see A-flat as the color blue, and it is round; circular. (I see a color-shape for each key). Another poignant example of a song that uses the theme of Blue is Sting's "Every Breath You Take," which has often been called the "stalker song."And, it's all in the lyrics: "Every breath you take, Every Move you make . . . I'll be watching you." This song is not as severe as full-fledged obsessive stalking, but it shows the sense of solitude, but also a sense of self-reliance and resilence that the key of A-flat imbues.
