His last tour is coming to my area and I seriously cannot afford to go. I want to kinda say goodbye but not goodbye but thank you…I saw him at MSG in 2005 and he LITERALLY played about 90% of his song book. It was because the night before his show was cancelled in DC and he was like well fuck might as well make it a double.concert. Bernie was there!!! Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman were there and Tim fucking RICE. ALW had a show opening later that night but he came to wave and stay a minute. Tim was the song writer for it. Jim was there bc they are buds. Bernie cuz duh. Anyway the musical was called lady on the lake or lady in white or something…it closed right away.
Elton has been the soundtrack to my life. He's been there for big moments with songs, and I remember certain life events because and Elton song was playing. Like sad songs makes me think of the dentist as a kid.
What a Great song I was 14 when this came out and I am now 58 and still listening to him 🙂
