The only problem I had with Nuno's lead playing on this album was with his tone: it was "quacky"… like a duck. Washburn guitars…maybe the pickups… maybe the EQ…but it was just kinda quacky. And "quacky" is disagreeable to my ears.
これでガッポリ手が折れた金持ち〜 聴こえる…
This song has one of my favourite guitar solo's.
Who could think of creating such a beautiful and unexpected solo on such a rhythm… …. I can die in peace after hearing such a melody …The solo is outstanding and beyond imagination…..What a crearivity Nuno….Just love you
Hey Eddie Van Halen, this is how you self produce an album.
This was their masterpiece. And I'd put it up against almost any other album from any group ever released. Just a criminally underrated album.
This solo is one of the greatest of all time. So melodic and intentional.
Lost art of song writing
6 String Serenade….
Well this album definitely aged well, now didn't it. It's too bad nobody wanted to hear what they had to say. From start to finish this is one of the greatest albums ever produced.
So inspirational and incredible with the most beautiful melody and touch on that solo. Nuno was perfect (as always) and this was my favorite solo off that album
1992 and..predicted..2022!!! Ahead of..time!! Underrated..!!!1000% !! Critics..in..America.and MTv.destroyed..them BECAUSE Of TELLING THE TRUTH????????
His solos are SO melodic.
Man, I have listened to EVERY song Extreme has ever released in the US and I cannot think of a single song where the guitar solo sounds or feels contrived or forced in ANY way! Nuno has at least that one thing over ANY other guitar player, he has a gift for finding the right notes and emotion for everything he does. I think it might be a personal thing for him. I don't think he would ever accept anything less than what he thought was perfect.
Yeah baby!! 😎 That funky guitar getting all Skanky with it. Tight Rhythm percussion section. Strong vocals.
Yep –
Running National Cons vs Demented National Cons
Someone in Extreme was listening to Lenny Kravitz's Let Love Rule album when they wrote this
Dat RIFF so groovy. Slightly behind the beat, it's banging in your head on and on. Nuno is such a prolific riffmasta!!!
Superb Album

Certainly one can read through the comments to find that many fans who loved the music did not love the lyrics. At face value, I can see how many see the lyrics as silly and thus immaturely singing about mature subjects. The music definitely has a funk feel. For me, the lyrics carry a punk/progressive feel. So although the lyrics can come off as silly and childish, throughout, I always heard them through somewhat of a filter which allowed me to hear the music and lyrics with the same seriousness as one might hear a Rush song. Politicalamity was never my favorite on this album, but it is still another amazing song on one of the most impressive albums I ever listened to. For me, the three songs in the third part of this album are classic. I always wanted to see them perform those three songs together at one of the many award shows of the time. They are so emotional and cathartic. Given the right production and performance, I always felt it would have been a huge success. I was around to see Michael Jackson perform Billy Jean at the Motown 25th anniversary show and then listen to everybody talk about it at school the next da. That was always how I pictured the III Sides to Every Story finale performance going. One can dream.
funny how this got 132k views but the original post got only 5k
Here in 2025!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Bought this album when it came out and it's still shit
Extreme always had an abundance of talent, but no edge. Personally, iff they could have figured out how to be a little less nice, they would have likely been in my top 5 favorite bands of all time. Instead, they are in the top 20. I listened to this album literally hundreds of times in high school, and it still holds up decades later.
