The song hits deep, then it hits deep in a different ways when you're living in the present of a situation defined perfectly in the song.
When you know and love someone, they feel it from you, but they themselves don't know it, how to give it, and when you try to help them, you get pushed further away, or cut down, yet you want to keep going, it's become a risk that could tear you apart but you don't think or care about that because what you know, what you're living, you believe in the best outcome, in you and in the one you love.
It hurts, but the pain and all the rest of it strengthens your bond. It's only over when someone has forfeited, given up. It doesn't have to be you and you live by not wanting to be that person that does.
It's touching, tragic, yet beautiful. And some of the deepest relationships form from this kind of thing, but it requires effort from both sides, not just one. The effort also must be similar in capacity. Not one all and one half.
