The best and most memorable songs in this first album are those written with Ben Margulies (Vision Of Love, Someday, Vanishing, All In Your Mind, Alone In Love, Prisoner, Love Takes Time). This guy was so underrated as a songwriter! I really would like to hear the demo tape with the original versions of the songs Mariah recorded with him.

My mother had like 8000 tapes in the 90s, I mean her music library was vast… but somehow Mariah Carey was the only female singer she ever listened to (except for ONE Tina Turner tape)
Loved that song and her first hit from her debuted album and strongly recommended for see the world and learn to self- love personally first for self growth and apply the seeing to others very special and others believe in love first sight too.
Takes me back to high school days.
I still remember I believe it was on America's got talent or something like that there was a girl who tried to sing this song while dressed in a skimpy bathing suit 🩱 and failed miserably and Moriah Carey was offended (as she should have been) well to make a long story short she talked bad about the girl who was trying to mimic her specifically about the way she was dressed thinking that the partial nudity was going to push her right through to the top then Moriah finish the song as it should have been finished and see herself flashed the entire audience by opening her shirt showing her bra and put that poor girl contestant to shame😂😂😂😂 I was on the floor with laughter 😅😅😅 and then afterwards I was like how dare she how dare she thinks she can sing this song like Mariah Carey she didn't stand a chance 🤣
