Great song so reminds me of someone in my life now
Cool, I had this on red vinyl back in its day, 12 inch : )
The best of 1978 without doubt . . I used to go absolutely mental when this track was played at my local disco . . just loved the melody the vocals what a cracking tune . . play as loud as you can and . . Hello from Scotland.
Back when pop music had balls and soul not like today’s damp rubbish , corroding the radio airwaves
it's very clever to turn a famous sport show theme tune into a good pop song. Every time I hear this it reminds me of Grandstand.
Was this influenced by the Grandstand theme?
Wow this song has waaay too few views on YouTube.. it’s a fantastic song!!
loved this and still do!
Shortly after Final Score and the teleprinter….
Classic enough said
First single I ever bought but I thought the b side was better
Great Tune, the background Music was the 'Grandstand' Theme they used on a Saturday iTV.

Greetings from Caracas, Venezuela.
I love this song! It's obviously the original version… and I say this because in 1980, the cuban-venezuelan actress and singer María Conchita Alonso took this song of The Motors and adapted it into spanish, turning it into a huge hit at the time. This spanish version is included on the first album María Conchita Alonso released as a singer under the stage name A'mbar… in spanish version the song name is "Baby, baby, forget about you".

Classic!
